Hello dear wanderer, welcome to my home page! My name is Jameka Monet Wilson and I am a Philadelphia based theatre artist, wordsmith, and ‘Death Becomes Her’ enthusiast. The complexities in the spectrum of human emotion excite me and spur my artistic explorations. I am drawn to heightened texts/poetic realism, the extraordinary in the mundane, and the liminal space that we spend most of our internal lives in. I would also eat a diet consisting solely of french fries if I could.
Mission
It is my mission as an artist to dually make and be an active part of politically and socially charged work that is representative of the world I have known, and the world I would like to create. I will engage in and with work that represents the intersectionality of being black bodied. I will commit to a life of study, not only in academia, but in humanity.
